Berks Technical Institute in Allentown to Launch Electrical Program

ALLENTOWN, PA – (October 15, 2024) – Berks Technical Institute (BTI) in Allentown, Pennsylvania, has announced the launch of its new Electrical program, with classes beginning on October 14, 2024.

BTI’s Electrical program prepares students for an entry-level position in the residential and commercial electrical field. The program, a hybrid between classroom-style education and hands-on learning, prepares students to be service technicians capable of troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing residential and commercial electrical systems, meeting the National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER) standards.*

“The launch of our new Electrical program is marking a move forward in our mission to help grow the workforce development in Allentown and its neighboring areas,” says Eric Snyder, BTI Allentown’s Executive Director. “This new Electrical program demonstrates our educational promise to continue to support students in pursuing vocational careers which are pivotal to the American economy.”

By adding to its skilled training offerings, BTI Allentown and Ancora Education are contributing to the development of a well-trained and competent workforce that meets the needs of Allentown’s local businesses and industries.

BTI’s new vocational skills training expansion reflects Ancora’s commitment to furthering educational opportunities for local students and contributing to the skilled workforce in these Pennsylvania communities.
